Commissioned to produce a dining table that converted from seating for 10 to seating for 14 with allowance for the leaf to be stored inside the table. Due to its shear dimension, this required the control and mechanism to be contained in the floor under the table. We were requested for it to operate by remote control dovetailing with the home electronic system, giving birth to the Gullwing table.
Crafted from the finest Honduras crotch mahogany and 316 polished stainless steel the table was finished in hand applied custom stain complete with multiple coats of polyester to achieve a full filled finish and then hand polished to perfection.
The table needed to remain fixed at the window glazing and then the outboard leaf moved while at the same time the table base realigned itself to always remain symmetrical.
